Not content with having already released a 10.1-inch model in mid-February, Samsung could give the Tab A series of tablets another chance, presenting an 8-inch version with some very interesting features. It is no coincidence that it should be a "Plus" model that should probably be called Galaxy Tab A 8 Plus (2019). The Tablet Monkeys website has released precise information on the new model, which should arrive on the market in two variants: that only Wi-Fi would have code SM-P200, while the one with 4G connectivity would be SM-P205. Both should have an 8-inch display with Full HD + resolution (1,200 x 1,920 pixels), a SoC Exynos 7885, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD), 4,200 mAh of battery, USB-C port and support for Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0. The photographic sensors would be 8 MP on the back and 5 MP on the front, while the operating system should be Android 9.0 Pie with One UI customization. Although the mid-range hardware is very close to that of the 10-inch version, the name "Plus" given to this new Tab A should concern the integration of the S-Pen and an active digitizer inside the screen, which would make it perfect for taking notes and drawing. Unfortunately there are still no precise data regarding the list price and the official launch date, which should still be very close. The new 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus could arrive as early as April, so we will keep you updated in the coming weeks as soon as we have the official status.
